Sorry to clutter the forum but I'm feeling pretty good, it's like this...............Tried to turn the bike over earlier using an old car battery but no luck just a click and dim cockpit lights, figured the battery is goosed but gave it another charge. Presto! it turns over! still not running but wanted to try it as I've never tested a second hand starter solenoid I bought years ago. Had some pretty horrid sounds from the starter motor (I think)to begin, quite disturbing actually as I thought it was coming from the front cylinders, oil pressure light went out after the first few seconds which I think is a good sign. I know it's still not running but it's a step in the right direction. I feel quite euphoric that after a bad few years and quite a bit of turmoil in my life that my dream is nearing ever closer. 9 years and counting since I stripped the bike and I now feel like it's not going to be ten.
