Discs and Exhausts
Hi everyone
I've got a Super Four '93 (I think) version R that I picked up cheap a couple of years ago and have run every day since.
Last year I started making a few changes and upgrades (will post up a picture when the weather picks up, bikes filthy at the moment) and next on the list is brakes and exhaust.
Have any of you guys replaced the discs for aftermarket ones? I heard somewhere that Hornet discs may fit, has anyone tried?
Also need a new end can soon, any recommendations?
Cheers

Re: Discs and Exhausts
If you want to improve the brakes, fit Firestorm fork bottoms, calipers and mudguard (or make an adapter to use your current mudguard). Changing the discs - following discs all look different but are the same fitment:Mjt77 wrote:Hi everyone

Re: Discs and Exhausts
Hey, if you check the EBC website you'll see that the part number for the front discs on the SF is MD1132, and then if you check what other bikes those discs fit you'll find that it's the '98/'99 (16" wheel) Hornet FW/FX. That's the research I had done a while ago and I was going on that basis for the future whenever I might finally be able to afford an upgrade to wavy discs.
There's a choice of discs from a few manufacturers I've found, going on the basis of the '98/'99 Hornet fitment and that's as follows (Brand / Part No.):
Galfer / DC059W
Armstrong / BKF701
EBC / MD1132C
Grimeca DS Line / DS170FTA
For the rear disc the EBC part number is MD1020 and this seems to be the same fitment as a few more bikes, the CB500, CB750, CB900 Hornet and the CB-1.
Hope this can be of some help to a few folks. Over the years I've been doing my best to put together some part numbers and stuff like that.
As for exhaust, no idea if any other exhaust fits the SF, and it only seems to be overseas that you can get aftermarket full systems.

Re: Discs and Exhausts
Just to let you all know I ordered some CBR600 F3 FS FT FV 1995-1998 discs for my SuperFour and they DO NOT FIT. Unfortanely they and non-returnable/refundable... so if anyone needs some or knows anyone that does.
I have now discovered that the Honda Hornet CB600 98-99 discs do fit as the early Hornet had a 16" front wheel.

Re: Discs and Exhausts
The later CBR400 is the NC29, and yes the end can of it will fit the header system from the Version R Super Four, which is the NC31. But the headers will not fit as has been confirmed by others on this forum.
