Hi people,

i am getting to the last few bits of my NC30 racebike for this seasons racing. im runnig a full HRC exhaust system and a hrc rep air scope (open carbs with no filter) and total loss, but apart from that it is standard.

what jet sizes would you people recommend and is there anything else i should do to the carbs?

what pads do you recommend for standard calipers?

what gearing do you race lads run at mallory park?

any help would be great  thanks

Andrew

I reckon you will need to spend the money and get it dyno'd to make sure of a good setup on them carbs,

You know the BMC gang, I'd recommend you let Mike loose on it for an hour or 2 and get it dialled in. Have you bought the HRC kit for the carbs? What you doing for the trumpets or to shiels the air jet?? Can we get some pics of the setup?
Jetting on open carbs is a bastard..as I was going to run it like that last year and I ended up sacking it and ran std airbox and it fuelled lovely. Open carbs is not as simple as just not running a filter

Gearing - 14/41 is pretty much bob on.

:plus:

If you don't have the rest of the hrc gear in the carbs (emulsion tubes, pilot jets, needles, velocity stacks, etc) then you'll need 160+ size jets and it will run like a pig with a massive midrange hole that will be hard to get the bike to rev through.

With all the right parts the power delivery is peaches and cream smooth with good top end power! :ninja:

The TT F3 manual lists all the carb parts, most can be had (or replicas) plus some work arounds done (particularly regarding the velocity stacks - quite rare now):

Good call..

What air-filter do you plan on running with the bike?
