Those pressures sound a little low for road riding, they are more like track pressures.

Depends a lot on the tyre construction and compounds. On my track bike (Diablo Supercorsas) I'm using cold pressures of 23 psi rear and 27 front and they work a treat.
I could only guess for the road but around 32 front and 34 rear ish?
