Re: NC29 carbs on a NC23 engine??
yes you can...as i have them on my 23
its fairly straight fwd..but you have to do alittle bit of mucking around
take off the TPS switch and throw it in the bin...then file down the TPS mount that sticks out because it fouls on the 23's frame
you can then just fit the carbs to the 23's manifolds and onto the engine.
use the nc29 throttle cable and walla!! nc29carbs on a 23
now heres the problem...
the 23's airbox wont fit the 29s carbs...i got round this by modifiying a hrc fiberglass ram air box to suit the 23's frame..as i only use the thing for racing anyways
but i reckon you could getaway with cutting the bottom of the 23's alloy carb mount off and fiberglassing or make up an ally plateto put in its place with the 4 holes to slip over the 29's inlet mounts just like they do on the29 airbox
its not a bad mod,the carbs work well on a 23
if i get a chance this weekend,i'll get some pics as im just about to put the carbs back on the bike
happy fiddling
