KOSO RX2 - what do you think?

Post by Smev » Sun Jul 06, 2008 7:12 pm

Has anyone fitted one of these to their bike?
If so how was/is it? any regrets or problems? Whats good about it?
Can't really justify £600ish on an AIM MXL or a Translogic micro dash so looking for an alternative!

mate i was thinking of getting a koso clock but not the rx2
I was looking at the RX1N I think its called

but thought it looked a bit plastic'y, the rx1n is loaded with features though, have you looked at these other dashes

the acewell
the vector
and the vapour (dont ask me what the difference is I havent worked it out yet :) )

and all for under £150 8-)

I think the vector ,vapor and acewell all look like slightly too large mountainbike items!! and the RX1N preceeds the RX2
The RX1N also looks more like a scooter item, did a little research too and the RX2 has all the features of the RX1N like the 1/4 mile times and 0-60 or whatever you want to set it to

Plus i like the way the coloured rev lights work!!!

really, ooo the rx2 does look better, thats got me interested, does anyone know if it would be easy to get a fule level guage to work on the nc30?, yeh i like the rev lights too, there like the graphics F1 ITV when they have the onboard shots.

do you have any idea on the price of the rx2, if its reasonable il look at getting one aswell, il wait until you've fitted it of course so i can learn from your err... improvements lol

We purchased and installed the Koso unit on our Fuel Injected bike. However, we haven't had that bike running yet due to many other millions of sub-projects. So, I can't report how it works. However, what I can tell you is the quality of the dash looks top-notch (OEM or better) and the parts included with the kit goive you everything you need to make it work. The also impressed me with the array of different sensors and Data Acquisition components they have. Very nice stuff and at affordable prices too.

PS: We purchased the dash based on a question I posed very similar to your original question. I received similar response that the dash was excellent quality and worked very nicely.

Hope this helps.

Looks like a cheap Casio watch imo. Better off sticking with OE.

I know there are people who don't like change - but change is good - isn't that what HONDA say on their adverts?!!!!! ;)

Plus the amount of other changes that have gone on - i might aswell try something new :D
