Ace at least its not just me having a crap week or so, i did my back eeerr testing my nieces trampolene i built up for them.
so i coulnt lift the bike off its stand for a day or four.

Last friday i was feeling alot better so went for a trundle( quite litteraly) and got a puncture, 20 miles outside a town. it didnt go down straight away tho so limped it back to my sisters to borow there footpump which got me home, got my mate to fix it with a plug tho, seems ok so far.

Then on monday i got bloody laryngitis and had to take two days off work cos i couldnt talk! just got painfull ribs now thanks to a bad cough!
And just to top it all off the car and bike tax run out at the weekend!

I did the head gasket on my mondeo earlier in the year! Which also wants two new front tyres now!

Roll on summer things have got to get better, HOPEFULLY!
Just thought i'd share!
Cheers
Ian

1 x new cylinder head and gasket on l200 - £2300.00
Why not get the existing head skimmed flat. Seems daft to swap it.

unfortunately the valves protrude out of the head, the combustion chambers are in the pistons, so the valve seats would have to be dropped, and from what they were saying its not slightly warped.

the head alone is £1200.00 with no valves!!!!, someone told me mitsi trucks were shit hot so thats why i got one, am sorry to say 2 1/2 months out of warranty and this am finding it a bit hard to believe there that good.

Come again ?

If the valves stick out they can be removed. Have you actually seen this setup or are you being taken for a ride ?

as you can see the valves have to be removed then the valve seats have to removed the head skimmed and then machine the valve seats recess and then refit the valve seats so to put the valves at the same postion, not many people take on the job, i have tried my local engine builder and the time involved out prices a head, if it can be done in the first place.
