K-Conversions is a Scam!
As I am sure you are all have heard or are aware K-Conversions doesn't make a terribly fantastic product....which may possibly be the biggest understatement ever. Well despite my better judgment I ordered a set of fairings from Kish back in December of '09 and it has been nothing short of a nightmare since day one. I just want to bring to everyone's attention how K-Conversions does business, and I hope that no one will make the mistake of doing business with them.
I ordered the fairings December 30th 2009 and was VERY specific as to what set I wanted. I was told they would be done in 2 weeks, and then it would take approx 3-5 days to arrive. Well after 6 weeks had passed and I still didn't have any fairings, I was getting concerned where my $675 USD had gone. The story I got from Kish was that they had moved and the shop wasn't set up to make fairings at the moment, so he was having a "friend" do it. Well I immediately placed a PayPal dispute on the transaction and magically the fairings shipped in 3 days after that....and to my stupidity, I dropped the PayPal dispute.
A few days later I received the fairings which were not only complete rubbish, but were not at all what I ordered. There was absolutely no way they would fit the bike, they were so crooked and poorly made, they knew well ahead of time that they would not fit. They were removed from the mold before the fiberglass was even dry, and everything had sagged. I notified Kish the wrong fairings were sent and got the attitude that it was not his problem because his friend had made them...I guess Kish can't be bothered to check the products he ships out to paying customers.
I finally decided to return the fairings at an additional cost of $210. I notified Kish of my intention to return them, and he said that was fine, and supplied me with a return shipping address. Once the fairings had arrived in the UK (to the supplied return address) Kish complained that they were charging him import taxes and would get back to me. Shortly there after the fairings were picked up from the UK post office. Well that was almost a month ago, and I have since sent numerous emails asking for an update and my $675USD to be returned. Kish has ignored every single one of my emails. It has become clear he has no intention of returning my money, which makes him nothing short of a THIEF!!!
I just wanted everyone to know K-Conversions is a scam, they send out the wrong product, and upon the customer returning the product, run away and hide, keeping both the their joke of a product as well as your hard earned money. PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH K-CONVERSIONS!!!!!!
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Being in that situation is not much fun.
I don't think you're the first, they have a less than decent reputation.
Buyer beware.

Really sorry to hear this. We are all pretty familiar with K-Conversions and how bad they are. Did you pay via credit card or was it you bank account? If it was by c/c you might be able to claim it back through them.

For 900 dollars i would sue. Can you not use the UK small claims court, costs about £30 and the paperwork is all online ?

.
from the first time i saw their website, i really had this feeling that the way they make business is kinda poor.
Ive been ordering overseas many times, but on my top of the list of having good transaction/business is Paul of Tyga.
sorry to hear this. I hope you can still claim your hard earned money.
by the way, did you ever took pictures of the kits you got???

Wow. It's pretty shocking that in such a small community, a situation like this can exist.
If this is all legit (and I have no reason to believe otherwise), a post like this should be stickied, no?

Re: K-Conversions is a Scam!
Sorry to hear about this but it is certainly not the first time I have heard this I try to warn as many people I can about their shockingly bad product and customer service
How did you find out about K-Cons as I cant find their website anymore. They are not a UK based company either they are based out in Thailand but have a guy in the UK who re-sells for them as he used to advertise on ebay and had the cheek to ask me if I wanted to sell the product. As you can guess I told him exactly what I thought of the product (absolute s***e) and I never heard a peep from him again lol.
Have you contacted paypal about what has happend if they are not doing anything threaten legal action as it normaly works for me when dealing with big companys.

Re: K-Conversions is a Scam!
Thanks guys, I knew the product was rumored to be kinda sketchy, but I had no idea the service was so bad....he's turning out to be nothing sort of a thief and seemingly proud of it. He's told me outright that if they are not defective he WON'T refund my money (on top of calling me annoying and incompetent), too bad its irrelevant if they are defective since he didn't even send the right fairings in the first place, which is the issue.
He also said that if they ARE defective he doesn't refund initial shipping costs, return shipping costs, has a 25% restocking fee, AND a 14 day return policy ( and that's apparently 14 days from the day you receive them until they are back in his hands again........not the usual "back in the mail again within 14 days" that any normal business uses) Thank goodness I have everything carefully documented and proving my order/shipping dates will be very easy.
Luckily I paid with my credit card via PayPal, but PayPal says they can't force a refund since the transaction wasn't on Ebay, but they will work with Visa, and if Visa finds fraud they will ban him from using PayPal. I will be calling PayPal again though notifying them they best refund my money since they facilitated a fraudulent transaction. Visa however said that since I have returned the fairings now, if he doesn't refund my money (within X number of days) its considered fraud/theft and they will refund me then go after him personally. Just goes to shows what an idiot Kish is, instead of refunding my one purchase he's risking Visa and PayPal crawling up his arse, not to mention smearing his company name to the small market he services.
I have looked into filing a lawsuit against him also (thanks for suggesting it Old Painless) and I do have the right to sue him personally in the UK, even from here in Canada. I made him aware that I will take it there if need be, but and again my email was answered in what I can only call a hostile child like manner instead of trying to resolve the issue. Unfortunately for him he messed with the wrong person, and I don't give up on these things....ever. I will be a cactus up his ass until the day my money is refunded.....or put him out of business in the process.
We need to boycott this jackass and put him out of business. I agree with Wilson, we should make a K-Conversions fraud warning like this sticky, so at least newbies such as myself don't get ripped off by this clown.
