My NC30 Project!!!!
Yes as title suggests, picked her up last night and now she's home,
1990, 18,000 miles , all original (apart from scorpion can) , came with paddock stand and restrictor kit (with cert) all for £1100
alright its not perfect but iv got over a month til my test to get her looking that way, getting the panel painted, db screen on order, lots of lovely bolt on's coming (preload adjusters, hrc steering stem plug, new res cover, samco hose kit, carbon chain guard, braided lines, adjustable levers etc)
but the main thing needed is polishing of aluminium parts, as a lil demo I spent 2 hours polishing the left preload adjuster and left the right untouched, the difference is amazing now,
Before anyone asks, its dark and i cant be arsed to take some piccy's of the bike, so they will come soon, but probs not until Sunday...just too keep you all in suspense

Re: Finally Got My BIKE!!!!
Brings back memories, Spike, you are behaving just as I did when I got my first bike, racing around cleaning, polishing, and modifying every thing in sight. :D
With handle bars turned up side down, baffles removed from silencer, and leg shields removed, I was on my way.
I was waiting for my licence to come through, but still test rode down my road anyway to see if I could gain more speed from my "tuning".
It seems only yesterday, but was the spring of '61. :)
The enthusiasm of youth
Dave. Much older now.

Re: Finally Got My BIKE!!!!
yep sounds just like what iv been/am doing dave,
go on then here are some piccy's for your viewing pleaseure,

dont let the zoomed out pic's fool you, its not a prize pig yet, there is alot of scratshin on the left side from when it went down the road but most of the pannels have scratches and there is a minor dent in the tank, this should all be sorted before she gets on the road tho.
if anyone can could someone make the pictures the ones that can been seen and you dont have to click a link to photobucket to see,
so what have i done so far:
general clean
polished preload adjusters (2 hours on each one)
polished fork stancions (slight rust pitting needed removing)
