Now for a bit of V4 bashing
As much as I love them it seems during 1987 - 95 anyway that they never won the suzuka 4 hours or infact came even close to winning with not even a podium in that time.
Yet look at 1988 with the CBR400 NC23 TSR bike winning and 5 of the top 10 finishers being NC23's! Makes you proud

At face value your right, an overall poor performance BUT If you break it down in,Yakama wrote:Now for a bit of V4 bashing

'89 a vfr finished 15th overall but 6th 400 home
'90 a vfr finished 6th overall but 1st 400 home
'91 a vfr finished 10th overall but 5th 400 home
'92 a vfr finished 13th overall and 5th 400 home
And lastly in '93 a vfr finished 12th overall but 4th 400 home.
Most of the top finishers are 250cc strokers so I'm not surprised a 400 wasn't more competitive against them but when beaten by a 400 most of the top finishers were ZXR,FZR and a few ( in not taking away from it either) CBRS , all of which are lighter and more powerful.
I don't think the old lardy vfrs did too bad to be honest. That or I don't like the thought of my old girls being crap on track!
also i thought it interesting that after '91 there was no F3 and all bikes where SP versions
It's not having what you want but wanting what you've got....Loud ,Proud and Modified ....

Stumbled upon this the other day, I thought it was bound to have already been posted!

You'll find the holy grail at 6.18..... That's as close as we can get to the frame spars I'm afraid, but nice to see the designation stamped on there.
I'd always assumed this was a 750 as there were bigger RVFs with the same frame design.
