I'm about to start using my bike for a daily 60 mile commute and have been led to belive that I'd be better off using some dual compound tyres when my balding rear needs replacing, these I've been told aren't avaliable for 17's.
My question is: would it be worth getting an NC30 rear wheel, to use as a commuter with a hard compound tyre and keep the 17" wheel with a sticky tyre, for weekend use? if so, would it be a straight swap, without any alignment problems?
Any rear tyre advice if i stick with the 17"?

Its the other way round matey. NC35 wheels are better for choice of tyres, As far as I know you cant get any dual compound tyres in the VFR18" Size. otherwise I would have them on my bike already. LOL

Re: NC30 rear wheel on NC35
Ive just put a set of Avon AV55/56 Storms on my NC30
120 front but a 160/60-18 on the back. Not sure how they'll go on but the guy that I know at Avon said that they should be ok. The only thing that I was concerned about was tyre to chain clearance but this is ok.
I'll keep everyone informed how they go on, if theyre crap I'll just switch back to a 150/60 instead
