Re: antifreeze change
it often says on the bottle what concentration to put in but generally 50/50 is right (can differ for different makes)
when you drain the old stuff out get a bottle of rad flush and flush the system out, just cleans all the crap out the system and will possible keep the temp down a bit more

Re: antifreeze change
The mixture can be varied slightly for Winter or Summer, but the 50/50 ratio is suitable for both extremes! If you're going to flush the system, remove the 2 front plugs as well as the one at the pump, then get a water hose on the top rad filler neck and flush away with the water!

When the mind is relaxed, the body will go faster!

Re: antifreeze change
Indeed.
There are 3 drain plugs as mentioned.
2 under the front cylinders and one in the Water pump, remove them and remove the bottom hose from the water pump and give it a good flush thru with a hose pipe.
50/50 is fine for most brands.. make sure its low silica (as the silica can damage the rotor blades of the pump)
Bleeding it is important to do properly.
Attatch all hoses / drain bolts.
Engine on sidestand, refill with coolant and fill up coolant bottle to max.
Start engine WITHOUT rad cap and allow to warm up to operating temp (needle 1/2 way)
Snap throttle to 5000 rpm 4 - 5 times to purge out any air.
Kill throttle and allow to cool
Top off and replace rad cap.

Re: antifreeze change
I don't use 50/50. Water alone is the best coolant but a touch of antifreeze for the corrosion inhibitors and to make your overflow bottle pretty colours...
I prob use 10% coolant and change it and flush it every couple of months. IN fact, my lower rad is sittign in a bucket of water now getting a good soaking before I prod the crap out of it wang it in the dishwasher for a proper clean out
The moto was running at 90 on the motorway yesterday so with the fins being 80% mud and flies it was abotu time I cleaned it...
