yeah i have noticed!, i am taking the clocks to work tommorrow so i can attach the speedo needle ( you missed that one! ) not sure what has happened to the temp dial, i have a spare that came with the fireblade clocks i am using, only the face is different the gubbins behind is the same so if i cant work it out i will swap them over.

possible bad earth maybe the cause? that i or have out it back together incorrectly!

ok spent a good 6 hours in the garage today, all i have done is key & then grey prime all of the panels, so i can see where needs extra filler etc & smoothing before it they go for paint. i have not done the front fender yet as there is still some work to do, but i think she is now coming together...

Easy to see how much effort you've put in to this, keep us updated!

Anyone else thinking a high level exhaust conversion would look great?

comes down to the pennies! by chance when i purchased a replacement can for my fireblade as the original was damaged when i was hit by a car, it was by chance i noticed the diameter looked the same on the vfr as it did on my 929 race system. did a couple of measurements and hey presto! 60mm slip on can, the couple of marks on the can are now on the inside as it is on the opposite side to when it was fitted to the blade.

i turned her over the other day and she is loud! not sure on decible wise but am guessing 100 + will have to get it checked, have made a custom baffle that really reduces the noise and as the can is e-marked should not be an issue with an mot with the baffle in.

ok, has been over a month since i posted any new updates, lots of excuses but i will skip those and get down to business. since the last update i have aquired a new rear tyre from a customer at work, this has been fitted and makes quite a difference in appearance.

new heated grips have been fitted ( this is for the wife in the end so need to keep her happy ) and the cbr 600 front mudguard has been altered, modified and changed numerous times to get a fit right,

Image

the rear of the ( front ) mudguard is not fully shaped, but it now fits and is safe so wont fall of in motion. more work to do yet.

Image

have started work on a lower rad 'guard' to reduce damage to the lower rad from stones etc, has not been fitted yet have only placed it inside the body work to see how she looks.

Image

we ( the wife ) has now settled on a paint job, i have spoken to brooky and discussed prices etc for the decals and i think with the cbr fairings this should look good

Image

as always any thoughs comments welcome

Jas RVF, recieved your pm, will try to get in the garage in the next day or so and send some details over to you. didnt really create 'instructions' but with some measurements & pictures hopefully you will get the idea.

have not forgot about this thread! just snowed under with me wedding. so today i have mostly been...

improving the front mudguard, the white bit you see is actually angled so gives a bit more 'life' to the rear of the mudguard but is hard to see in the pictures.

Image

the front wheel which was originally yellow, has had a coat of paint to clean it up. i am not going to get these powder coated until after the wedding as funds are now getting very light!

Image

i have recovered the seat but i am not happ with the shape of look, so i think i may change it to a foam racing type of seat

Image

i am hoping on thursday weather depending to just tinker with the front brakes, take her for a potter around the courtyard / close at the font of the house and load my first video on here! heres hoping the weather is good!
