Looks really good, top work :plus:

Are you thinking of giving the engine casings a lick of paint?

Yes, definitely. I am not seeing either side as a difficult task, I am sure that will change when it comes to it.

These are the disks as removed, not terrible but not great either. The carriers were covered in marks and scratches:

I sent them away, they were split, the carriers were blasted and re-anodized, the rotors were ground flat and new buttons re-attached them:

I am not convinced it's the finished article to be honest, the carriers are pitted which will make brake dust sticking much easier.

I did buy new fork stanchions too:

and have ordered new genuine springs. Also ready for forks are new genuine bushes (both sets), oil and top preload adjusters so they should look pretty smart when done and work well.

I also bought a replacement lock set with a really good ignition barrel as mine looks screwdrivered, meaning I'll have to paint a fuel cap again!

Thoughts on the disks would be appreciated.

Would you mind sharing the cost of refurbishing the discs? Also keen to know the cost of the fork stanchions. Are they genuine Honda or aftermarket?

Cheers

Rotors were ground flat, not replaced. There's loads of material thickness left still.

All in cost, £300 of which £120 was for the disks. The stanchions are aftermarket, stiffer than genuine items apparently.

Another pair of disks have been sourced, attempt two is under way.

Forks have been dismantled and I put some work into the legs:
