Re: NC30 HRC-spec Ignition Boxes
Just to pick up a point made on here - the NC30 & 35 Ignitech boxes are not the same - the internal wiring for the tachometer drive is different so it isn`t just a question of changing the external harness.
We`re pretty much sorted on the NC35 HRC-spec boxes now if anyone needs one...

Re: NC30 HRC-spec Ignition Boxes
I've been fiddling mine again yesterday and am running a fair bit more advance than stock. 99 octane fuel and the seat of the pants dyno says I have gone too far..
Gets a little bit harsh sounding and doesn't pull so hard through the midrange. Up top advance seems bob on so I will get it dropped back down in the mid and try again.
These are quality bits of kit...if you knew what you were doing you would be rocking..unlike me, the ultimate bedroom mechanic! lol

What map are you using as a base? and how much more advance are you running?I've been fiddling mine again yesterday and am running a fair bit more advance than stock. 99 octane fuel and the seat of the pants dyno says I have gone too far..
I'm interested, cos I've got one in my '30 but haven't messed with the curve yet (HRC map supplied by rick). But I'm tempted...
Agree, great bit of kit, i'm going to look dead flash plugging my laptop in in the paddock. (until someone comes up asking techie questions!!)

Re: NC30 HRC-spec Ignition Boxes
I had an email exchange with rick when these first came out - I am using a variation on one I started with after looking at some graphs for the std advance, HRC advance and a measured advance -the post is on here somewhere.mavisravis wrote:What map are you using as a base? and how much more advance are you running?I've been fiddling mine again yesterday and am running a fair bit more advance than stock. 99 octane fuel and the seat of the pants dyno says I have gone too far..

If you bike blows up - then not my fault.lol -OK! use at your own risk etc etc.. got to love litigation..

Re: NC30 HRC-spec Ignition Boxes
Latest on the Ignitech situation...
Thanks to help from Troy in Aus and some lengthy conversations with the (very helpful) guys at Ignitech, I have now pinned down the correct standard and HRC curves for both the NC30 and NC35, so we`re good to go on both if anyone needs them.
Due to some wrong assumptions on Ignitech`s part about the basic setup of the box, the programs on the few NC30 HRC versions that I have sold so far are a little off, so I will be contacting the owners with replacement programs. If you`ve got one and you haven`t heard from me yet then mail me for the appropriate files, or if you`re not happy DIY-ing it just post the box back to me and I`ll install it for you FOC and cover your carriage costs...
