I'm sorry but thats simply offensive. Just because the user has a low post count or is not a site supporter does not make their opinion any less valid than yours or mine. I'd rather wait to see what they have to say on the subject rather than coming at them with an attitude.

Kiwi racer has already talked about the possibility of a CBX 750 clutch fitting and about HRC parts being renumbered stock items. Kiwi racer has also sent out the HRC parts manual to a number of members, myself being one and I am very grateful for receiving it. In my book that is sharing information.

I would be interested to know where I would be able to get HRC parts or which are the standard parts that can be substitute for them. If Kiwi racer or anyone has experience of this than please post up because I'm more than happy to listen.

As I said earlier you can not buy HRC kit parts fom Honda these parts were made initially in very small quantities for the all japan F3 championship, the road bikes stopped being made 10 years ago and even stock road parts are now being discontinued so any kit parts are long gone.
Ok there are certain parts from other models you can use to upgrade your CBR but these are not kit parts but parts from other road bikes (mc21 throttle tube and cbr6 rad for instance) any 'kit' parts you can get now are Copys of HRC items such as graeme frances ram air kit.
A lot of development has been done over the years by people like David Simon (who built my engine) Graeme and our ozzy friends like Stimpy and they are happy to share or sell this knowledge, the more extreme mods that are being done like stimpys vfr gearbox into a 29 and kiwi racers CBX slipper clutch are fantastic to read about but will never be just a straight swap like a kit part should be.
The kit manual which kiwi racer has very kindly distributed amoungst us will only show you what you could once have bought and a few minor mods you can now do.
As for LP I doubt she meant to offend it's just her way....

Then i suggest before telling people they are wrong.. do your home work and use the search button. :spank:
in my years of being on the 400GB forums i have contributed a hell of a lot. From getting in big trouble from the site owner for linking HRC/Haynes/microfiche pages for members to use (free) and still do when asked, organising a 400GB "work on your bike day" on the local base i worked at to founding the 400GB yearly calendar that Jo now runs to raise money for this site and its running costs.

Tanuki thank you for the explanation, I would be interested in getting clarification from Kiwi racer of what can be found from the worldwide dealer network.

I think here you have missed the point of a forum. Information changes. A member has information or a view point that differs from accepted understanding. If the current understanding is wrong then the member should be encouraged to explain so that the understanding is kept up to date. If the member is wrong then by posting explanations the member will see why the current understanding is so.

Simply referring someone with information or opinion that differs from the accepted norm to the search will not forward understanding or help anyone.

LP, I have also read this thread a number of times and cannot see anyone questioning your contribution to this forum. But thank you for your biking CV.

I bet mine's longer....[ooh ey up, that's probably a discussion for another forum].

I do agree that you contribute to the greybike society LP.

Back on topic: If you have money to burn and the resources you can probably STILL get all of the parts in the nc23 hrc manual... cashola being the key word!!

if i was to walk in to my 3 Honda dealers, 1 gets a barge pole out when they see me as they refuse to deal with "imports"!. the other 2 are very good shops and i KNOW they cant get HRC parts from Honda even WITH the part numbers, heck i cant even get a Honda standard mono shock for my NC29- RRL any more! ...

BUT ... i do know who to ask for HRC parts *if* i wanted them... Graeme France or Rick Oliver (for NC24/30/35's)
yep i find this rude also
this is about an nc23 not a nc29 and somebody willing to share a very rare manual with the rest of the world
you have been around LP for sure...but do u know any thing about Paul...
the fact he races a 23 and has loads of info on them i hold higher than somebody who's been around a fourm for years...doesnt race, gets there bikes worked on by mechanics...and does things with LEDS..
sadly LP,most of your info is carbon copy from a haynes manual
and before u drop the names of graeme or rick...
did u know graeme also got this manual off paul?
i wont be looking at this thread again
so...
cheers paul, thanks for the manual..your the man, look forward to catching up with you in nz at somepoint ,and meeting the cute rider you have riding the bike...we'll do dinner lol
keep your mouth shut LP,your nothing
