if you manage to find a way to operate the fuel tap let me know!! the infils on the 03/04 tail i bought cause the tap to be obstructed, i could trim them out slightly but i dont want to make large gaps in the panels.

if you look closely at the pic you may also notice on the pic, roughly in the foam seat below it on the subframe is a small brass object, this is part of the pillion seat lock mechanism, i will make the rear seat pod removable so i can use it for my sarnies when i go to work, i am not worried about a locking it as it will not carry anything valuble and unless you know what it does you wouldnt touch it.

the cable then moves up the subframe into the middle as you see below all i did was move the catch from the rear part of the subframe to the front.

Are you doing anything with the engine Casings? I think the Engine looks pretty exposed in those pics dont you? It wouldnt affect it, but obviously it doesnt look too good IMHO and is in need of something because this bike is going to be sweet when it is finished and it would be a shame to let it down like that.

How about I sell you My Engine Cases and Rocker Covers?

thats another job on 'the list' once i get the body finished, though the list seems to keep growing and the time i have to do this is running out as there is now about t minus 3 weeks before our second child is due...that is going to put a restriction on time and budget.

that coupled with all the jobs the mrs keeps finding for me 24 hours does not seem long enough some how......

will try to get some more done tonight.

i would like to have this done before the winter!! though thats seems rather optermistic now.....i think i will have this ready with a bit of luck and late nights by july 7th..............2036!!

was aiming for to get something done tonight but i come home to find the mrs has bought some more flat pack stuff for the babies room so i thought best to get that done tonight so i can then concentrate on my stuff tomorrow.

right i have actually had chance to get something done today!! i have stripped the front end, new steering head bearings, freshly painted top and bottom yokes, forks have been striped painted and rebuilt with new seals etc..

i have started to first fit the front mudguard though this is no where near finished as yet, original lock set removed as key was lost and bolts under the yoke were rounded off big style so replacement lock set including petrol cap.

new calipers along with rick o's caliper brackets fitted and painted to match the forks. i think thats about everything i have managed to do today, didnt get as far as i wanted as my daughter wanted to help.

sorry for the pictures being in the garage again, i did not have the energy to move the bike to the garden after all of my little helpers efforts!!

once i get the mudguard finished then i can get back to sorting the fairings so they fit correctly, then off comes the rear end for work.

right i am still here!! our second child cannot make their mind up whether they want to come yet or not so i have spent more time up the hospital than in the garage however....today i managed to get a bit done...

though it may not look like a huge change from last time, i have now fabricated some brackets for the front fender, cut and shaped the fairings though i may alter a bit more yet ( again these are just mock up panels - oem ones will be used finally ) the infil trims will require trimming to accept the forks when turning but these will be altered once i get the oem fairings.

brackets have been fabricated to support the new fairings, though there is still work to do to finish them

i also took some next to my blade again, this helps me 'see' the bike coming on, from certain angles i think the '30 is looking more agressive than the blade and now the fairing a fixed it does show a real difference in size between a 400 & 929 but with the '30 parked next to other 600rr's i think a lot of people will have to take a double take.
