Japanese wiki has it that Doug Polen won the tt-F3 in 1989... he was good!

the Yamamoto link for the other photos, maybe the guy who won it in 86 87?

Yes, Yamamoto was a works honda F3 rider for several years.

maybe when he retired he started making exhausts for the bikes... ;)

Isn't the #49 bike in the OP a TT-F3 NC30? Or am I missing something (as usual)? It aint no rvf!

Good call, don't think I've ever seen that bike. I would probably do nasty things to that bike it's so luscious....

By my calculations :ugeek: that would make either 1990 or 91 the year they ruled out non-production bikes (a la rvf) from the F3 championship?!


A pity it's so hard (for us westerners) to dig up information on these bikes. I'd love to see them in detail, including the yam yzf400 (which is obviously bloody impossible to google given the dirtbike!).
