Yeah I here you Kris I have had 1 snap before, but as long as there are torqued up correctly (which they have been since I owned the bike) then they should not be any problems as with all bolts that are torqued up they are designed to stretch during the torquing up as long as this done then right.

Canada I will look into waxing bolts thanks for the tip, I had forgot about axle and axle bolt I suppose if I'm doing the axle I will have to do the pinch bolts.

I'm glad I cleaned my forks otherwise it would have carried on right through the whole bike lol

The point being you don't know how much they were torqued up before though do you! Lol

Just one thing though, I would buy new disc bolts as old ones have tendency to snap off in the wheel when you torque them up.

Have a whel with 3 snapped bolts , didnt even get to torquing them up and they had hardly gone tight before they snapped

VHT GOLD BRAKE CALIPER, DRUM & ROTOR PAINT SP736 this is what I used can't remember which seller though and Vht black as well for calliper bolts

I also used that stuff.

Make sure you do bake it in the oven, makes it rock hard.

Did my rear caliper, and the finish is still perfect, no stone chips or anything.

Also... Hope its not a silly question but how can you bake it when its wet without resting it on a surface and leaving marks?

No your exactly right I have no idea of their history prior to me but I have removed and torqued these on a few occasions but if one snaps the I deal with it,

I cleaned and keyed up the caliper best I could, then gave it all a good spray with brake cleaner to remove all the shit.

Masked up then sprayed in light coats with a heater on it inbetween coats. Left to dry for 24 hours then baked in the oven using the instructions on the can.
