hard to beat wd40 for cleaning

It's a house hold cleaner but I kid you not I used this on a bike that had been left outside for 5 years, got rid of mould, grease, moss, cobwebs in fact it cleaned metal, rubber and even bought up the foam clock surrounds like new ;)
Never used this on a bike, but I would be careful if you put it on perishables - it starts to dissolve the silicon sealant in my bathroom if left for too long (Too long being a few minutes!!).

The bike I cleaned was in a terrible state...hosed it down right after and it came up gleaming.
THEN usual wd40 wipe over...
