My bikes, not standard by any means, so the polished yoke goes well with the polished ally fairing/ mirror bracket and polished bar end weights, it was crashed by if former err keeper and polishing the bar end weight (to get the sratches out) and a race fairing bracket was the only option really. Its seen a fair ammount of bad weather, but aslong as you dry the polished stuff off and wash any salt off once a week its ok, polished frames/swingarms on the other hand are a pain in the arse to keep looking right.
If i can find a pick i'll post one up.
Cheers
Ian

Thanks for the replies guys. Been working on a snapped exhaust stud today so haven't touched the yoke. A pic of one on the bike would be great. I'm not too worried about it being 100% original, at the end of the day I'm rebuilding it to use it, not put it in a museum! It does seem a shame to put paint on that yoke now, being nice and smooth instead of the original pitted look.

:spank: For Jim

I have one of each, and the polished one doesn't need too much fussing, just wizz over it with the autosol when you have it out for anything else...

Ever thought of powdercoating it and get your bar end weights done at the same time

That would be interesting, would be a lot more resilient to the old key ring scratches! Depends on how much really, I would have to look into it. I'd probably have it done black to be honest.

Where abouts are you? There's a couple of places in Lancashire I know of. Triple S powdercoaters aren't cheap if you're thinking of taking them there
