Re: Tyga to possibly release NC23 Fairing kit!!
HAha i just noticed this thread again. Just to make clear it wasn't so much the smell that i dont like or the quality as i have never had any first hand experience with them. what i do hate is the fact they look like crap.. ohk maybe thats a bit harsh but, the back end is to long, the front fairing/lights look like something i would have finger painted when i was 3. its not only the dodgy proportions that i dont like either its the fact that people think they make the bike actually look better, it is quite clear they are sheep
,,,,,,, This is only my opinion, aand what do i know...

In all fairness here to tyga are you talking about the 30/35 kits or the 23 kits ? give them some credit here, the style may be not to everyones taste but clearly they have listened to critisism over the years and quality & fit has improved it seems.
Styling - again if it doesnt groove you no ones forcing you to buy it, if you like the aircraft carrier flight deck look on the back of your NC30 then the tyga kit will make you moist.
Dont loose sight they are continuing to support a limited 400 market for parts keeping our bikes alive. I hope they continue to develop products and ideas, and while they do and people buy them and pass on thier old OE parts to us old timers who like thier bikes original (ish)

dont have a problem with styling, just what its made from.
i know plastic injection moulding is expensive.. but plastics is what people really want.. maybe invest in a machine/moulds.

Im only stating my opinion on what i have seen, vfr kits ect, im not being disrespectful (or at least not intentionally) and i appreciate that they are giving people a chance to modernize their 400s, but they have much more potential, if they would only stop making fugly fairings and put a second thought into what they look like,, they would probably have my custom untill then they wont and i will continue to express my thoughts on the styling.

Re: Tyga to possibly release NC23 Fairing kit!!
Mate i hear you, the styling doesnt do it for me personaly. Some of the kits looks pretty funky when done nicely and tastefully and respect to anyone who wishes to customise thier bike like all the others using the same kit.
Again personaly the 23 for me doesnt look that modern, and i think a kit may generate a new lease of life for many bikes and spark some projects and interesting discussion.
As most know i like the standard look, sure its dated and very 80's 90's but thats the appeal for me personaly
LP's got a good point with plastic v fibreglass, i would rather pay a bit extra for good plastic than cheaper glass. I have had first hand experience of tyga's carbon on my KSR80, fit was excellent, it felt quality too, carbon was a bit wonky on the straights and esp on the bends as you would expect but fantastic value for money. Ok not in the same league as the MS production stuff i have on my Ducati, but then again a full kit for the KSR from tyga cost less than a MS production numberplate holder on the Ducati.
Just going off topic here, the MS production stuff is superb, once fitted the grain runs the same way and is nigh on perfect. Carbon tank, airbox, panels etc etc thats what you pay for i guess.
