Time for a new shock?

Post by GooS3 » Wed Aug 12, 2009 6:41 pm

Hi guys

I've noticed every time I get on the bike and sit down it makes this LOUD creaking noise like an old door opening. Its really irritating me, very annoying.

I was wondering if I should get a new shock?

:peace:

Remove the rear shock and grease up all the pivot points. You will more than likely find all is quiet again for very little outlay.
A new shock is always advisable if you have the spare cash as your old one will be tired by now, Nitron are ace too

^ What Tony said!

If I remember right, the creaking sound will most likely be the top shock mounting that needs some grease.

I had this once, I just put up with it. It's not the shock unit itself but lubing it up will make it work better.
