Just seen this on ebay....GSXR750 shock in an NC30 adds 20mm of ride height too.

Just had an email from the guy as i asked him what gsxr shock it was and any of the K series fits (later ones) and all that needs to be done is remount the coil pack and grind a bigger radius on the shocker mount so it goes in the frame.....does'nt sound too difficult

You'll need to change the spring for a harder one.

The lower linkages on the nc's change the spring rate considerably, so thinking that a shock from a bike of similar weight will perform ok can sometimes be very wrong.

if you up the spring rate you end up with the shock being under damped.

did your mate also tell you that you need to cut the undertray and the left undertray frame mount off. oh and the the rocker link bar fouls the bottom shock mount :(

Really? I have a K7 gixxer shock in my NC30 (which FWIW has an RVF subframe) and the only mods I recall are:

- Top frame mount point/top shock eyelet machined out/down respectively.
- Modified Tri linkage at shock lower
- Undertray

first one i tried was listed as a k4 shock total waste of time. had to do mods listed.
second one was earlier k2 shock, res facing other way and bottom mounts longer. just undertray and top mounts needed modding good fit.
third one  was k2 1000 shock , same mods as second one.
all would need revalving and heavier springs to work properly.
in the end bought mattys rs250 shock already done and fitted nc spring.
