Relay mod.

Post by Le_Blur » Thu Apr 02, 2009 5:18 pm

Sorry guys, I know this is gonna sound gay but I just finished the relay mod that was posted on the old forum, and it only bloody works! It might have taken me the best part of my day off, but I'm still reet chuffed with myself. I just had to tell somebody about it. Nobody else I've told so far even understands what it is I've done or gives a shit. Hurray for me!

Cheers, Steve! LMAO. It's for japanese spec bikes. They don't come with a relay for dipped headlights, only for main beam. What this means is if you run normal H4 UK bulbs which are a higher wattage, nearly double the current runs through the switch and you run the risk of melting it or causing spark erosion. So the mod is to add a relay on the dipped loop and the current is handled by the relay instead.

Cool sounds good.

Any chance you could share the knowledge with me please? Im currently rebuilding a shed of an nc24 and havent got as far as thinking about lights yet, although they are a lill bit important.

Its a nice feeling when you sort something out yourself isnt it? the only problem you have now is that you will find other projects to do on your bike. It's the beginning of the end my friend.
