Considering selling to make room for a new bike

Post by Lasse » Mon Jan 12, 2009 4:59 pm

I am considering selling the NC30 to make room for another bike, an offroader or sidecar setup.

On my list I have:
Africa Twin
Transalp
Super Tenere
BMW R65 GS
Ural/Dnepr sidecarrig

Am I nuts? Please remind me why we drive NC30'es :D

Its a bad time of year to be selling a bike so you might be better off waiting. If its garage space you need, how about a vacbag and store the NC30 outside?

With the sidecar idea, have you ever ridden with a sidecar? Ive got a watsonian chassis that is going to be going on one of my matchlesses at some point but from what ive been told, it will turn a perfectly nice bike into a dog that is scarey to ride! All the negative points of both a car and a bike.
Too many bikes, so little time!

Get the sidecar outfit, they are wicked. I am in the final blows of sorting mine out, hoping to do the final bits and pieces to the chassis over the next few weeks then bolt it to the bike. The body of the sidecar is already done.
Its something completely different, kids love them, you can carry lots of stuff and its a new riding challenge.
No good for filtering through the traffic though...

TRX's rock. had a well sorted one two yeaars ago.

why get rid to make way for a new bike..

im at bmw r1100s + zx7r + nc30 + sv650 + a nc30 (-rolling chassis for project) and almost a complete sv650 in bits for the said nc30 project....unless summit else turns up quick i could use in its place.

i currently have my garage full, next doors with a bike in it. the conservatory full and nearly 2 sheds!!! and its all personal use/ and yes i may have issues..... lol
its not a race, okay?... READY-STEADY-GO! ;)

Hi Spike,

I did see that there was a Ural on Lasses list, i presumed it was his wishlist of bikes he was thinking of getting.

Ive only heard about sidecars from the older generation, having to accelerate to ride round it to get it round corners must be a bit of a challenge to start with.

that said, i do have a sidecar. :D and a bike that its eventually going to go on.
