Re: NC29 with 600 F3 rear shock
I,ve just this past half an hour fitted one to my bike, i thought it was piss ant easy, just loosened the bolt,s before i hung the rear end from the garage roof and then removed the two bolts. The only thing i had to do was take a notch out of the linkage arm to accomodate the rebound adjuster which is on the side of the shock rather than on top of it.
All in it was four bolts in total and shock was out.
The only thing though that,s buggin me is the bike now sit,s at a severe angle when on the side stand.
Best of luck and hope this helps.

Im sure i read somewhere that a standard fireblade sidestand will fit and is slightly longer, so curing the lean problem. :)

The fireblade sidestand isnt any longer than the standard nc29 stand but the blade stand isnt cast so can be cut and a piece put in to lengthen it which is what i have done, just find a nice welder and your sorted. You will have to use the original nc29 top part of the stand which bolts onto the main frame and only the stand itself from the blade (1998 model i got mine from.) You could always machine the holes a little wider if you wanted to use the complete blade stand. Hope this helps

Re: NC29 with 600 F3 rear shock
Hey oop brownync29, i forgot to tell you here, the shock raised the rear of my bike about 30mm, looks good sitting still and definetly helped with handling. As for the side stand issue i just welded a peice of metal on to the bottom of the stand and this helped (about 1 inch) still leans over more than normal but no where near as bad as it was (does,nt look as if it will fall over when someone farts next to it).
Hope this helps.
Hope this helps.

I have fitted CBR600F3 FOX racing rear shock. As for my experience - you can fit shock from 285mm to 310mm to NC29.
