Mph clocks
Hi all I have a set of MPH clocks to hand question is are they restricted like the kph clocks? If so is it the resistor mod to over ride it?

Re: Mph clocks
MPH clocks should need no tinkering with...I swapped KPH clocks for MPH clocks and had no restriction

Re: Mph clocks
We had a batch of mph facias made to replace a kph facia so the reatriction would still be in place if someome has sold one on.

Re: Mph clocks
The restricton is part of the ignition unit and only on a Japanese ignition unit.V4beermonster wrote:Hi all I have a set of MPH clocks to hand question is are they restricted like the kph clocks? If so is it the resistor mod to over ride it?
The trigger unit for the restrictor is what is in the Japanese spec clocks.
True UK clocks (not re-faced ones) don't have this trigger unit, thus no plug coming out the back. If you have a 3 pin plug then you have Japanese clocks that have been re-faced.
If your bike hasn't had the restiction removed via either a plug in box or connecting the wire to 12v (resistor mod.) then you wont have anywhere on UK clocks to plug your Japanese loom into so the bike wont rev above 10000rpm.

Re: Mph clocks
As above, theres no plug on UK clock as that over-speed trigger unit isnt in the UK clocks.Neosophist wrote: If you have a 3 pin plug then you have Japanese clocks that have been re-faced.
If you post a picture up I can probably tell you who made the mph face.
And yes.. the igntiech ignition unit wont care about which clocks.
