Forks for an NC30

Post by challymo » Thu Sep 25, 2008 12:30 pm

What usd forks can be fitted reasonably easily to a NC30? I know that nc35 and zxr 400 forks can be fitted with an adapter kit, but are there any more that are reasonably easy to fit on it?

There is nothing that is an easy fit...you need kits or to press the stems out of them etc.

the old why bother question springs to mind? Perfornance is key in my world..looks and performance also good...but if I can choose only one or the other :poke:

What forks have you got in mind?

I have seen R1, CBR6, ZX6, ZX4, Ducati/Aprilia Showas and NC35 forks fitted to various NC30's...

Easiest and most relevant would be the NC35 IMO..

Yeh thats what i was thinking of but they are proving difficult to find for a reasonable price. I was looking for some to add to a project i want to do on my nc30.

looking back now, if i didnt get the forks given to me for bugger all i wouldnt have really bothered with mine.
have to take into account clip ons, brake, cleareance with clocks, etc
yokes and stem was the trickiest...

Hi, I currently have an Rvf400 front end (forks/yokes/spindle/spacers and calipers) for sale on ebay but I also supply the Nc30 to Ducati front end fitting kits if needed, with the kit it is a very easy conversion.
Need any used Nc30 parts? Want to fit a Ducati front end to your Nc30? If so give me a shout.

Hi Riley, unfortunately I don't quite have the money yet so can't shell out for the front end. But how much do you do the ducati conversion for? and which forks does it work for? all ducati or specific models? Thanks

Hi, the fitting kit costs £75 delivered and it takes about 3 weeks from the time of deposit (£10), this allows you to fit 748/916/996/998/749/999 yokes and the forks etc from any of the bikes in this series (Ohlins forks require the Ducati ohlins yokes- still fit). Aprilia Rsv/Falco and tuono forks will also fit into the ducati yokes as I am led to believe. Hope this helps, cheers Paul.

What is the process to customize some yokes to an nc30, because I just found a guys bike online who had gsxr 750 k5 frontend on it.
