Its all in the prep mate. Better the prep, better the finish. He's an old skool perfectionists.Vfr400/tbird wrote:One question what did your dad use to make the paint look that good?
I've spent all day on mine today. She is nearly there now. I am also working on the front calipers in the morning, fitting new lines and ordering two new disks. Master cyclinder and lever painted back to original spec and that's curing right now in dads workshop. That will be put back on in the week as we like to let the paint proper go off before we reasemble.
Just trying to think what else. Hmmmmmm oh yes, next weekend is the carol nash bike show which is huge. Got my tickets ready. New chain, new end can, new leathers if I find the correct ones, and useful tools i'll have. Basically I'm taking £400 with me and I aint coing home until I've spent the dam lot on my bike lol. Think of it as a massive car boot sale but for bikes

My nc21 is a D reg. As soon as I saw her rotting anway outdoors I had to buy her and bring her back to life. I'll never make money on her and I don't care. Tbh including buying her I've still not spent more than £700 and I've enjoyed spending a few weeks indoors doing her up ready for my trips to wales.
I'm not posting any full side pics until she is done and mot'd and I have a massive beem on my face.
I'll always keep her as its a classic bike now worth hanging onto and I shall build up a good selection of spares for the future.
My next bike to join her is def going to be a cbr600rr. My bro in-law has just brought the new cbr1000rr. OMFG its the business.
