hey ho.. the saga continues. when i sentmy bike to teh garage it had cr8e ngk plugs.... i asked for the correct ones to be fitted while he did other work.. cr8eh-9 i believe.. neways as u guys know it came back still running liem a bag of crap.. i went to check plugs to see what mixture was like.. an lo and behold my old plugs are still tehre (i paid for new ones on teh bill) so i asked the guy... some lame excuse about the cr8eh-9 not fitting... nad said hed get teh right ones... i end up with some cr7e. hotter and imo still wrong... im guessing all of you guys are using cr8eh-9 and im getting bullshitted.. pls confirm/deny.
thanks again for all your friendly and helpful advice over the period of getting this on the road.. ill deffo be donating to site when i eventually aint strapped fer cash.

For all I know you can use NGK CR8-EH9 or CR9-EH9 on the CB400. I use the standard CR8-EH9.

Yup, NGK CR8-EH9 plugs are in my bike. I even gave ones I had bought for cheap online to the garage to fit when I had it in for a service last year.
That's really dodgy that they charged you for new ones and didn't even change them. I definitely wouldn't be going back there if I were you. I mean who knows what other work they never bothered doing and yet charged you for.
Make sure you get your money back off them dude.

hi thanks for all replys... got some cr8eh-9 off ebay and as u guys said.. they fit fine... so will be attacking local garage with bad recommends etc. also took carbs off today (the otehr job he was meant to do) they ahdnt been off fer years was pretty obvious.. and are full of crap including bits of rag!!!! neways thx for yer help peeps u confirmed hes a bullshitter and so did my carbs lol.

As an aside, http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; sell plugs from NGK in a Honda packet for the same price I've ever seen them on ebay (or at worse pennies more) and you can order those other odds and sods you've been meaning to get while you're about it.
