i dont know if he can keep the throttle pinned,as when we've raced together he's always been behind me
(sorry about that jeff,just had to put it in)

Well you know what they say Steve;
"Age before beauty"

My system is like Steve says, it's an electric solenoid/actuator that you attach to the gear peg in some fashion and this pushes/pulls the peg and changes gear. My unit has an electric cut out that you can wire into the ignitec CDI to cut the spark and unload the engine. This allows full throttle upshifts with no clutch. BUT i have spoken to a few guys that run similar systems with a quickshifter on Fireblades and they have fecked their gearboxes. I know they have shed loads more power than the NC's but the gearboxes on ours - are a little fickle; and unless you are planning on checking your gearbox every season i would just use the clutch. You can get some shifters that will cut the ignition and unload the engine, but wont just fire the ignition back on at full wack, it feeds it in more smoothly. To get one of these systems set up to work properly and save you time on each gearchange you need to have lots and lots of dyno time to get the dwell time of the ignition cut just right. You can also get a system that allows clutchless downshifts too, you still have to use the clucth on starts and i haven't spoken to anyone that has this system yet so not sure if it's a bit jerky.
I have found that if i upshift without the clutch after about 4 laps it will hit nuetral between 3rd and 4th.
