I have done a couple hundred miles on my NC29 now, and I'm pretty damn sure my suspension is too soft. Graeme France did some work on it a couple of years back, fitting a cbr600 rear shock with an ohlins spring, and upgraded forks, however i just feel its too soft for me. I weigh 12st dead and i've no idea how heavy the person was who had the work done by GF.
The question i want to ask is...are all these NC29's set up pretty soft? or do i need to go and see a suspension specialist?
Cheers
Tom

Re: NC29 Suspension
if you can, get it back to GF. if not. find out whos a good set up shop near you.
you will need to tell them your weight, what style of riding you do (hard, fast, national speed limit etc) and on what kind of roads (bumpy, pot holes, nice etc)

Re: NC29 Suspension
Hi newbie here.
I have the same problem at the moment and as the bike is new to me I haen't fiddled with the set up much yet. I've tightened the front a bit as it was so soft it was bottoming out on the track, unfortunately I haven't been able to test it out much.
I do think getting a techy to sort it is the best bet as they will get it pot on for you. I did this for my gixer when i took it to Kais and they got it perfect.

Re: NC29 Suspension
Std road suspension will be wayyyy too soft on the track and no amount of fiddling will do much when you want to up your pace. You'll find the limits pretty early.
Tom, try to get in touch with GF - he may have notes on what went into your bike when he did the suspension and he'll be able to tell you right away if you can fiddle it to something better, or you need to change springs etc. Springs don't tend to be very expensive.
In the meantime you could set your static sag, just do a google search and you'll find some instructions online without too much difficulty. It will also tell you if your springs are too soft for you.
