I'd be inclined to agree with zimm there.

I ran my FZR250 on a dyno with the exup valve closed to 'prove' it was producing less than 33bhp. The guy at my local dyno was made aware and didn't have any issues with 'verifying' the power output and was really happy to help.

It actually made 41bhp at full power, oops

nah my dad wants it done profesionally as hes ignarant (wont be proved wrong, especially by his son) so iv said if he wants it done he can pay for it himself, looks like it will be booked in on thursday or friday

If it was me, I'd be tempted to travel further afield.

5 hours sounds either that they're taking you as a mug, with the old 'it's an import V4, they're really time consuming to work on', or they don't know how long a job like that should take, in the way that they rarely take NC30s apart.

It's your (or your Dad's) money either way though.

Dont worry there fitted now, i did them when my dad went out and told him when he got back lol

made a stupid mistake too, I bunger the velocitystacks with paper so i wouldnt drop anything into the carbs but forgot to take it out and put the air box back on, started the bike

long story short i had to strip it all again and luckily they just balled up and blocked the inlets and stalled the engine so i stripped the bike again, but with all of that is must have taken and hour and a half max!

now with the restrictors in the bike runs much better, it used to bog down at about 5-7000 revs but now it goes all the way through and picks up quicker too, so i recoon the previous owner must have had the carbs set up with the restrictors iun and then removed them after a while.

HRC rearsets arrived and now iv just got to work out how the hell I put them together. :) anyone got a exploded diagram or something that could guide me?

yes im aware the single seat cover dosent match fully and that will all be sorted soon free of charge by the painter (he couldnt put the seat unit together as I had all the bits so he had to guesstimate and i think he did quite well, (and all for £250)

o and the HRC rearsets arrived, thay also came with a load of nuts and bolts but i cat work out how to put them together, any help would be appreciated


in fitting the fairings I had to relocate the HRC resevior as it wouldnt fit on the right hand side fot he top rad so its now on the left, means i can check level and top up without removing any fairing too

Very nice Spike! Looks like the painter did a great job. That's about what I paid to get my plastics painted, $500 USD. It looks good the way it is, even without the graphics. Now get out and ride the wheels off it. Cheers.
