right weather here has been crap so i could not get her out for any decent pictures. all panels now on ready for marks decals ( should be here tommorrow ) i have had the panels sprayed by a friend, as this is for the wife, it is going to be her first big bike. somewhere along the line i have a feeling she may drop her etc so i dont want to go mad on paint costs until she is confident again then maybe costs allowing she can have her properly painted finished etc.

though this is not to put a downer on my mates paint job, he has done well. the tank does appear to be a different colour, now its next next to the other panels, i will check with him later in the week and will get it sorted one way or another. the other panels are all different shades in different lights but were from the same batch of paint the tank he had to mix some more up so thats where i think the issue is.

ok, so no indicators, mesh in the front fender, undertray, number plate, front calipers or anything like that but all panels on ready for the decals but i am happy with the out come so far, she does look a bit front end heavy, i think its more the angle i have taken the pictures at within the confines of the drive. once the weather is better and the decals are on i will take some more before she goes for lauqer

right weather here crap, could not really get many decent pictures, however all decals on ( except for the tank, is definatley going to be resprayed ) gone for a minimal look, no racing decals etc.

Brooky has done a great job with the ideas i had. so all panel going back off to be laquered and tank to re-done then, add indicators, undertray, mesh around front mudguard and a re-designed seat ( not happy with current looks too thick ) just off for an mot!

ok been a while since i uploaded any new photos as the weather was so crap over christmas it was hard to get anything done. still some jobs to do, have the tank re-sprayed ( the side fairings also seem to have faded over christmas so they will be going back as well ) sort the temp gauge, the clutch as she just does not feel right.

sorry about the poor pictures it was pissing down when i took the pictures

right, tis 2 years, 4 months and 3 weeks to the day since i started this 'little' project. A lot has happened since i started, a lot has changed since i started but more than anything im happy.

She was never built as a show bike, a 'better than new' or anything like that. i wanted a road legal little bike i could zip to work on in the winter and have a laugh on in the summer. i feel i have accomplished what i have set out to do.

she still really wants and 600rr upper fairing stay to stop the front end vibration around the clocks etc and the temp gauge still needs work...however

sadly i am going to have to sell her, its her or the blade. my new job is a mile from my new house, i can walk to work and cant justify having two bikes. The wife can come out on the blade, she cant on the vfr and that is her main argument and this, i can understand. I know i will have another, the blade is fast from the word go but you dont have to work for the smile like you do with the vfr. I would really like to have a little oki rep sat in the garage that will only come out on dry sunny days....this will come but may take a year or so before it happens.

i am definatley going to hang around the forum, i have not found any other forum where the guys are so nice, prepared to help each other out no matter what is involved.

So here as we stand...

i wanted some pics next to my blade just get give a real idea of how small the vfr really is comapred to a 'real' blade..

im not going to put her up for sale until i get back from holiday in two weeks time, if i win the lottery in the mean time she wont be going!!
