Re: my bike
I have had an NC24 and an NC21 and now have a vfr400k.I think they are great bikes, light, compact with excellent handling and performance and fairly reliable. The weak point is the fact that the exhaust collector is only made of mild steel, is expensive, difficult to get hold of and requires a lot of work to fit.The best mods to do are to fit better quality fork springs and braided steel brake lines.I would be wary of putting air into the air valves on top of the forks as it is very easy to blow the fork seals. The earlier hydraulic clutch is superior to the later cable operated one as it gives a much nicer action but it is possible to retrofit.

Re: my bike
You'll only blow the fork seals if you either exceed the recommended psi (8-11) or use pattern (non-Honda) seals or you have damaged forks. I have air in mine and it makes much difference.
After all the bikes were designed to run air pressure in the forks.
The maxton springs are good too!
The tyres let it down after that if you push it hard. The BT45's are suprisingly ok for cross-ply tyres and hold up well on the road, unless your riding what i'd consider too hard by my standards for the road you won't have many problems with them.
On a track-day they are easily one of the weakest points if you have a good running bike and decent suspension.
Nothing like having BT90's or even 92's!, they feel dangerously unsafe in comparrision
but still.. that makes it all the more fun I guess.
400k eh, an old training school bike! I like the raised bars.. always wanted some of those.
