I'm not a fan of HID myself, leave them for the posers in Landrovers (
)
I just fit 90/100w bulbs and have done with it. I know they are technically not legal for road use but I've never been stopped for them and I've never failed an MOT because of them.

On a 24 I dont' suppose that would be too bad..
1 bulb.
On a 30 that has two bulbs you'd be taking up 180 watts / 200 watts from the 350watt generator...
the oriignal 35/60 bulbs use only a 1/3 of that power on low beam... i'd make sure you have enough juice!
I still find Philips Xtreme the best H4 standard bulbs you can get.
I though those Osram nightbreakers were ok but they are poor in comparision! And i'm always driving around country lanes in the dark due to where I live.

I got a cheap, pure white bulb it was supposed to be.
From my local motor factors (they know me so got good discount)
It seems brighter so it will do me fine :)
once i have the dosh then i can invest in a brighter bulb again
