Hey guys, just started stripping down my NC29 to start painting and refurbing etc.
Where do people go to buy new stainless steel bolts to replace original items?
I.e......the 6 disc caliper bolts, fairing bolts, caliper mounting bolts etc?
Cheers.
Dan.

Be careful, its addictive and expensive buying those shiny bolts, I have spent in the region of 150 and more at pro bolt, and even now I wonder what on.. BTW, always check what your buying as I have been sent the wrong size twice, although quickly rectified, they did re-send me titanium caliper bolts as they had run out of SS bolts, quids in!
BTW A4 or marine grade is the SS to go for if you buy elsware, although A2 is generally ok on non stress areas

Durka, thanks for the advice, very much appreciated.
I'm going to have to limit what i buy for sure as it could get silly
The necessities are the disc bolts, banjo bolts, fairing bolts, and caliper bolts.

The biggest problem you will have, is once you change one bolt the next looks grubby so you do that, then the one after that does so you end up doing the lot, hense the expense. Look on ebay for various A2 bolts that can be bought cheaper for those non stress areas, I bought some for the air vents, screen brace, heel plates and even stainless allan bolts for the carb and air box fittings, dont think it was more than a fiver for a mixed bag of around 10 each size, just ask the seller if he will do the quantity and sizes you need.
