Well, it sure does seem like a fun litle bike. Handling seems great, a little slow on the turn in but very nice feel. Brakes feel great... overall comfort was just fine. The power feels very very nice for street use, plenty of torque, nice little power hit up top... definatly does not sound like an inline 4 LOL, sounds like my old vfr1000 but very mello... Only issue I see at this time is some drive line lash... seems a bit slopy. I had adjusted the chain a bit but maybe not enough? Kinda hard to tell how much to adjust it. Book says 15mm but I really cant move the chain past 10mm as it hits the frame. I shows in the book where to measure the slack but you cannot get that much throw on the chain to acuratly measure it. Whats the trick here becasue my chain seems like I could move it a bunch more if it did not hit the frame...
Great bike, super balance, great handling..... now i know why its so popular....

I think it's something that you just need to get a feel for. Pretty vague I know, but just nip it up a bit and see how it is. It can also feel a bit 'snatchier' than other bikes because there's no cush drive.
These bikes do make you feel a bit special when you ride them, the sound of the engine always gets me every time I ride.
They do tip in a bit slow (but very stable at higher speeds). You can increase the turn in by using shims on the top shock mount (on rvf's only) for a little more rear ride height, it helps a lot without sacrificing much stability.

To funny, that was going to be something I was going to check....the cush drive..... you saved me some work :)
Yes, no cush drive will make it a bit jerky in lower gears/speeds........ Ill tighten up the chain a tad more and be done with it. Yes, its a very impressive bike. It felt faster than some of the old 600's I have riden. Thanks for the heads up on the cush!
