What does yours pull, i can only manage about 180 kmh on a straight, and it's screaming. Generally once your in top gear the rev counter seems to coincide with the speed like 6000 is 60mph and so on.
I've had new chain and sprockets on mine recently, as far as I know they're bog standard but I can't be sure without counting the teeth, which I'll do if I remember.

I've had an indicated 108 mph on mine, and there was more to come but I had to back off. Quite hairy at those kind of speeds really I think.

On mine, the revs and the speed almost match in top gear. From memory, 60mph pulls around 6,500 rpm, giving a theoretical indicated 120mph top speed at 13,000 rpm in top gear. At 80mph, it's pulling more like 9,000 rpm.

Yours looks very clean by the way, doesn't look like she's done many winter miles!

She doesn't do any winter or rain miles. Just for work on a night if the weather's fine. I'm currently looking for a nice Yam serow, so i'll be selling her when i get one, just can't afford two bikes and a car at the moment.

I think the Version R exhaust is different to all the others, but I can't be certain. There was a guy selling a Version R race exhaust which he bought for another model Super Four; he was selling it on because it didn't fit.

Looking at the aftermarket exhaust headers for all versions except the Version R on e-bay, it looks like the mounting lugs are arranged differently. Also, I think the Version R tailpipe is more upswept than others.

Of course, I could be wrong - the only way to be sure is to compare the two side-by-side.

Anyone with a Project Big One or Version S in the Brighton area want to meet up and compare exhausts?

Well, i did see a Version R with a standard sf exhaust fitted on ebay a while ago. I'm sure the cylinder head is the same, block must be same (nc23e).
