Ah ok, a non-biking friend of mine has a set of CBR600 carbs that have flatslides, was hoping they might be something special!

Re: Honda anniversary NC29?
There is a distinction between bikes that have CV carbs with "flat slides" styled slides rather than the racing type of "flat slide" carb that does not use CV for opening the slide but uses throttle only.
CV carbs are not the same as pukka flat slide carbs
I don't imagine that anything other than a homologation type bike will run the latter carbs.
the RVF has a semi flat slide car...but they are still CV carbs..

If you want Flatslide carbs for your NC23 why not buy a set of Keihin FCR's. Expensive tho.
I have a set but am yet to fit them and get them set up.

Yeah, I don't think any hondas (not even the RC30!) ever came with genuine flatslides, only available aftermarket or race kit parts.CMSMJ1 wrote:There is a distinction between bikes that have CV carbs with "flat slides" styled slides rather than the racing type of "flat slide" carb that does not use CV for opening the slide but uses throttle only.
