I don't know if this has changed since I last put a bike through the MOT. My exhaust has no bs stamp and states for race use only. Is this a fail?

Yes, that will fail. You can usually get away without having a BS stamp, as long as your exhaust isn't stupidly loud; but the 'race use only' is an immediate fail.

You could try a strategically placed sticker on your end can, or possibly polish the lettering out?

Re: MOT - Test Criteria for Motorcycles
I had a cracker MOT recently,
In northern ireland it is a goverment organisation, run by monkeys.
One monkey said to another, whilst commenting on something about my bike.
I was standing right next to the monkey,
He said to his work colleague, why should you give a f@#k, it wont be you sliding down the road on your arse, ...........
I never said anything, i just looked at him, thought what a twat, and a shit thing to say.
Then he came over later talking bollocks, blah blah, what speed does it do, ffs!
I took my phone out of my pocket, and said can you repeat what you said earlier, this time i will record you!, ........i pay this monkeys wages!
Sometimes i just wish people would think before opening there trap.
Nevertheless, the bike passed.
But the way it is, do you think i would be riding a bike based on these monkeys piece of paper, i make sure my bike is top working order, all the time,
After all a cert only states the vehicle was roadworthy, at the time it was presented.
Its a money racket, rant over! Roll on next year!
